We make custom knives as well

When Jeannie Hansen called me and asked us to build her husband, Matt Hansen, an Army retirement knife, we were honored to take on the task. Matt has served multiple combat tours and we decided to embed the Afghanistan and Iraq service ribbons in the carbon fiber handle. Jeannie asked if we would be able to use her old roller skate bearings in the process and I told her to send them to me and I would do my best. Ball bearings are made from 52100 steel and is a steel we started out using because of its durability and edge retention. We combined these bearings in a canister with 1084 steel powder and meteorite flakes and this is the result. I was thrilled to see the pattern of the bearings and races were visible on both sides of the blade.
