We redesigned our Montana Hunter by reducing the width of the blade and adding an inch to the blade length to 5 1/2 inches. Total length is 10 inches. This design was to make for a longer blade to be used on larger game animals such as Bison and Elk but still a great knife for deer and antelope as well. The knife pictured is made from a carbon steel farrier’s rasp that has been acid etched to force a patina and the black oxide offers some corrosion protection. The tang has been tapered to reduce the over all weight. We can make this knife out the other steels we offer such as our hand forged damascus, 52100 bearing steel, or my favorite S45VN stainless. All of our knives are currently made to order and come with a hand stitched top grade leather sheath by my wife Jana Stephenson. Please allow four weeks from purchase to shipping.
